Just mucking around with some stuff to try and get the Mercian King of Mercia tourer back rolling the roads as the green one is stripped down and boxed ready to be sent off for fresh paint, when finances allow.
Weinmann cantis which have been sitting for a while but are really nice looking brakes, in my opinion. They needed a good clean and polish but came up really nicely.
Tried the Nitto stem and B136 Nitto Randonneur bars for size as well. I ended up loosely fitting the Mafac competition levers as out of the three spare pairs I had the suited it the most, which was lucky as I had earmarked the other two already. The drilled 419s fot the Jack Taylor and the black hooded 418s for the Flying Scot I put the bottom bracket in and put on the Stronglight triple chainset too.
This will most likely be built up 9 speed, well that's the current plan but I do have several things going on so not sure when this will be completed.
This was really just seeing what would suite it.
