12th December 2021 - Bullitt Sidepanel Instillation - Cargo bike coming together!

 Was very lucky to get a set of sidepanels and cover from the great guys at London Green Cycles. Lucky as they had to be ordered as my Bullitt is the old shade of Lizard King Green and also lucky they came so quick before Christmas. Thanks go to LGC as they helped with parts for my Big Dummy as well. They are also great at getting them shipped out to me at the other end of the country. 

So this kit was of the usual Larry Vs Harry quality with easy to follow instructions. Just took my time and it all went together so securely and is so robust and strong there is not going to be a problem with any cargo. The boards are two sheets of thin aluminium with a thin rubber section in the middle, strong but still lightweight. Well please and still managed to keep my backboard with pockets on as well. Finished this off with a couple of extra PDW Owl bottle cages but these one are the rainbow striped ones.

26th December 2021 - Boxing Day Fatbike ride to Murkle Beach with Caleb.

 A very chilled out Boxing Day spent with my lovely family

Caleb and I managed a cool ride on the Fatbikes to the beach to play this afternoon. Cool as in freezing cold but a nice clear, crisp day. I was on the ever reliable Pugsley and Caleb was on his Baby Fatty.

 Merry Christmas! I hope that anyone reading this has had a fantastic Christmas spent with those who matter most to you. 

What a fantastic Christmas so far, out at the horses this morning, great food and ride out with Caleb on the Flying Scot tandem.

13th November 2021 - Bullitt ride to Thurso - Sorting electric front wheel drive fault

 A ride into town on the Bullitt to pick up the various bits and pieces of the electric assist system I might put back on it. Needs a new controller. Cables, controller and the heavy old battery went in the dry bag.

Thanks to Sam at 'The Bike Shop' for testing everything and also the always welcome advice

Nice to finally have a dry afternoon.

Good to be out and getting some miles in on the Bullitt. Work in progress with side panels coming soon.

11th November 2021 - Jack Taylor Strathconnan Randonneur ride with Brian

 The Jack Taylor has been getting used regularly and still sits at the top of my classic loves.

Was out today with Brian on his Cube Hooper for the afternoon revisiting the small singletrack roads from Contin out Loch Luichart and around the hills of the Strathconon estate.
A great autumnal ride, cool, low light and usual for us we were racing the rain and the light to get back. Just sneaks up on you out here at this time of the year especially when the heavy clouds rolled in and accelerated the loss of light.
The roads were very quiet even for out here. We have had a fair amount of rain the last week or so and the roads were really wet so it wasn't too far ahead of us either. The scenery was lovely as usual round this part of the world and made us both thankful once again to have this riding on our doorstep.
The Jack Taylor was a pleasure to ride as always and while even today I was discussing with Brian that I should finish off the build with the nice bits I have for it like headset etc, it just rides so nicely that I come home, clean it. oil it and put it away for the next ride. It works lovely, it fits lovely and I always have a great ride with it. The bling can wait

4th December 2021 - Kidical Mass Inverness - Caleb and the LvH Bullitt

 Another great Kidical Mass ride with Caleb and Brian. Such a great welcoming group and Caleb really enjoys it. We were lucky with the rain as it rained all the previous day, the two and half hour journey, stopped when we parked in Inverness, stayed dry for the two odd hours for the ride and then started raining very heavily when we were packing up. Rained all the way home and the next two days solid. 

Sometimes you get lucky and  the weather gods smile upon you :)

24th October 2021 - Larry Vs Harry Bullitt shakedown ride

 After a few days dismantling, cleaning and then building back up in a slightly different configuration the Bullitt Cargo was ready for it shakedown ride. Also helped that the rain had eased for a day.

Great ride and a few tweaks still to be done before sorting the box for the front for Spot. I already have the canopy but he didn't seem to keen on being fully enclosed.

Nice afternoon for a ride anyway. :)
